EMPLOYEE EMPOWERMENT FOR IMPROVING OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY IN SAUDI INDUSTRIAL COMPANIES

Abstract: This study aimed to explore the determinants of employee empowerment and its role in enhancing functional quality through studying industrial companies listed in the Saudi Stock Exchange. The study relied on the quantitative approach, where a representative sample of the study population was selected, which included (539) employees in industrial companies listed in the Saudi Stock Exchange. The results showed that there is a statistically significant impact of the determinants of employee empowerment on improving functional quality in industrial companies listed in the Saudi Stock Exchange. The study reached several main results, including the importance of having a clear policy to empower employees to enhance their awareness and motivation, as well as the need to focus on meeting customer needs. In addition, the study recommended the need to develop objective plans to educate and train employees and stakeholders, and to establish an integrated system to manage training processes to ensure their effective implementation and maintenance to achieve quality objectives.
